Product Description
Xylene (Dimethylbenzene) is a colorless, clear aromatic hydrocarbon liquid in which two hydrogen atoms on the benzene ring are replaced by methyl groups. It has a boiling range of approximately 137–140°C.
Xylene has three structural isomers: o-xylene (ortho-xylene), m-xylene (meta-xylene), and p-xylene (para-xylene), depending on the position of the two methyl groups on the benzene ring.
In industrial applications, commercial xylene generally refers to a mixture of these three isomers, often containing a certain amount of ethylbenzene. It is widely used as an aromatic solvent and chemical raw material in coatings, paints, resins, adhesives, and other chemical industries.

Xylene is miscible with ethanol, chloroform, and ether, but has very low solubility in water. It is widely used as an organic solvent and chemical raw material in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, paints, coatings, resins, dyes, pesticides, and other industrial products.
Xylene is a flammable organic solvent and requires proper handling and ventilation. Exposure to high concentrations may cause irritation and effects on the central nervous system. Environmental xylene emissions can come from fuel combustion, paints and coatings, adhesives, plastics, rubber products, synthetic fibers, and other industrial sources.
