Product Description

PESA (Polyepoxysuccinic Acid) is a phosphorus-free and nitrogen-free environmentally friendly scale and corrosion inhibitor developed for modern industrial water treatment applications.

PESA provides excellent scale inhibition and dispersion performance against common mineral deposits, including calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate. Under suitable operating conditions, its scale inhibition performance can exceed that of many conventional organophosphonate-based scale inhibitors.

When combined with phosphonates, PESA provides strong synergistic performance and can enhance overall scale control. It also offers a certain degree of corrosion inhibition, making it a multifunctional water treatment additive.

PESA has good biodegradability and broad application potential. It is particularly suitable for cooling water systems operating under high alkalinity, high hardness, and high-pH conditions, where it can support operation at high concentration cycles.

PESA also offers good compatibility with chlorine-based treatment programs and can be formulated with a wide range of other water treatment chemicals.

Recommended Dosage

For water treatment applications, the typical dosage of PESA is approximately 10–30 mg/L, depending on water quality and system operating conditions.

When used primarily as a dispersant, the recommended dosage is approximately 0.5–3.0%, with the optimum dosage determined through application-specific testing.

PESA can be formulated with other water treatment chemicals to provide enhanced scale and corrosion control.

Because PESA is an anionic polymer, it is generally not recommended to use it directly in combination with cationic chemical additives unless compatibility has been confirmed through testing.

Packaging and Storage

PESA is supplied in plastic drums, typically with a net weight of 25 kg or 250 kg per drum. Customized packaging is available according to customer requirements.

Store in a cool, dry indoor area, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Recommended storage period: 10 months.

Safety and Handling

PESA is generally considered a low-hazard water treatment chemical. The product is alkaline, so appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn during handling and application.

Avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately and thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
