Product Description
Indigo is a traditional vat dye with a history spanning more than 3,000 years. Xun Kuang’s well-known saying from the Warring States period—“Blue is extracted from bluegrass, yet surpasses bluegrass in color”—originated from the indigo dyeing craftsmanship of that era. In this context, “qing” refers to cyan, while “blue” denotes the bluegrass used to produce indigo. Long before the Qin and Han dynasties, indigo had already been widely used.
