Product Description
AA/AMPS is a copolymer of Acrylic Acid (AA) and 2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulfonic Acid (AMPS).
Its molecular structure contains both carboxylic acid groups and highly polar sulfonic acid groups. The combination of these functional groups provides excellent scale inhibition, dispersion, and calcium tolerance, making AA/AMPS particularly effective in demanding industrial water treatment applications.
AA/AMPS provides excellent control of calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, and zinc scale, while also helping prevent the deposition of iron oxides.
It is particularly effective against calcium phosphate scale and provides excellent dispersion of suspended particles and mineral deposits.
When combined with organophosphonates, AA/AMPS demonstrates a strong synergistic effect, improving overall scale inhibition and dispersion performance.

Application Scenarios
1. Industrial Water Treatment
AA/AMPS is suitable for demanding industrial circulating cooling water systems where high pH, high alkalinity, or high water hardness limits the performance of conventional scale inhibitors.
It helps control:
· Calcium phosphate scale
· Calcium carbonate scale
· Zinc scale
· Iron oxide deposition
· Suspended mineral particles and other deposits
AA/AMPS can be formulated with organophosphonates and zinc salts to provide enhanced overall scale and corrosion control.
2. Textile, Printing & Dyeing
AA/AMPS can also be used as a textile processing auxiliary in textile manufacturing, printing, and dyeing applications.
3. Pulp & Paper Industry
AA/AMPS can be used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in papermaking systems, helping control mineral deposits and maintain process system cleanliness.
