Product Description
n-Butyl alcohol (1-Butanol) is a colorless, flammable liquid with a characteristic alcoholic odor. It is a highly refractive liquid and burns with a luminous flame. n-Butyl alcohol is incompatible with strong acids, strong oxidizing agents, aluminum, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, copper, and copper alloys.
Due to its excellent solvency and versatility, n-butyl alcohol is widely used across a variety of industrial applications. It serves as an important solvent in the manufacture of paints, varnishes, synthetic resins, gums, pharmaceuticals, vegetable oils, dyes, and alkaloids.
In addition, n-butyl alcohol is used as a raw material and solvent in the production of synthetic leather, rubber products, plastic cements, shellac, raincoats, perfumes, and photographic films.

Application Scenarios
1-Butanol is an important industrial alcohol and a versatile chemical raw material. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic alcoholic odor and is widely used in the production of chemical derivatives and as a solvent for paints, waxes, brake fluids, detergents, and other industrial products.
It is primarily used as a raw material for the production of n-butyl esters and plasticizers, including those derived from phthalic acid, aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and phosphoric acid. These derivatives are widely used in the manufacture of plastics, coatings, rubber products, and other industrial materials.
1-Butanol is also an important feedstock for the production of butyraldehyde, butyric acid, butylamine, and butyl lactate. In addition, it is used as an extraction solvent for petroleum products, pharmaceuticals such as antibiotics, hormones, and vitamins, as well as fragrances and other specialty chemicals.
Other applications include its use as a solvent for natural dyes and printing inks, an additive in alkyd paints, and a dewaxing agent in various industrial processes.
