Product Description
PO-640 is a specialized corrosion and scale inhibitor developed based on the scaling characteristics of TRT systems.
At the high temperatures present inside blast furnace gas pipelines, PO-640 can vaporize and become uniformly mixed with the gas stream. The vaporized chemical helps effectively inhibit and control the formation and deposition of substances responsible for scaling in TRT equipment.
PO-640 also provides film-forming, cleaning, and acid-neutralizing properties, helping protect equipment surfaces and maintain stable operating conditions.

Application & Dosage
PO-640 is a specialized corrosion and scale inhibitor for steel mills. It is suitable for systems that use blast furnace gas as the process medium for pressure-energy and thermal-energy recovery.
PO-640 is normally applied through continuous dosing. The dosage should be adjusted according to the actual scaling conditions of the TRT system.
The typical dosage is:
50–150 g/(10⁴ m³·h)
If the product appears slightly cloudy or contains floating matter, shake well before use. This does not affect its performance.
Packaging, Storage & Precautions
PO-640 is supplied in plastic drums, typically 25 kg per drum, or according to customer requirements.
Store in a cool, dry indoor area. Recommended storage period: 12 months under proper storage conditions.
PO-640 is mildly alkaline. Appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn during handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.

In addition to TRT systems, PO-640 may also be used in other industrial circulating cooling water systems within steel mills, depending on the specific water quality and process conditions.
