Product Description
PS-340 Defoamer is a 40% active, dilutable emulsion-type defoamer. Its main active component is a water-compatible silicone polyether. Only a small dosage is required to achieve the long-lasting performance typically provided by conventional defoamers.
It is suitable for foaming systems containing conventional surfactants and polymers. PS-340 provides rapid defoaming and excellent foam suppression, while offering good compatibility with a wide range of additives. It can quickly eliminate foam and effectively prevent foam from reforming.

Main Components
PS-340 is composed of polyorganosiloxane, modified polysiloxane, silica, specialty polyether hydroxyl compounds, synergistic agents, and other components.
Product Features
Easily dispersible in water; free of NP and APEO.
Rapid foam elimination with excellent foam-suppression performance.
Easy to formulate and store after dilution into an emulsion.
Applications
Foam drainage
Hydraulic fracturing
Oilfield production
Other related oilfield applications
Directions for Use
PS-340 Defoamer can be diluted with thickened water. During dilution, maintain a stirring speed of 30–60 rpm. A stirring time of no more than 10 minutes is recommended. For detailed dilution procedures, please contact our customer service department.
Depending on the viscosity, temperature, agitation conditions, and other factors of the foaming system, determine an economical dosage based on ppm.
PS-340 can be continuously or intermittently metered directly into the foaming system using a dosing pump. It is recommended to add the product at a location where it can be readily dispersed. The initial recommended dosage is 10–100 ppm per metric ton of foaming liquid.
The optimum addition point, dosage, addition method, and dilution ratio should be determined through on-site trials according to the actual operating conditions.
Packaging, Storage and Handling
Available in 25 kg, 50 kg, and 200 kg plastic drums, or 1,000 kg IBC containers.
Store the product in a sealed container at room temperature (5–40°C) in a well-ventilated, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
The product may freeze at temperatures below 0°C. If freezing occurs, allow the product to thaw completely and stir thoroughly until uniform. Freezing does not affect its performance.
When stored under the recommended conditions in unopened original packaging, the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
