Reverse Osmosis Antiscalant

Effectively controls inorganic scaling over a wide range of high concentrations. Without acid addition, the maximum allowable LSI value is 2.8.

Does not react with iron and aluminum oxides or silicon compounds to form insoluble precipitates.

Compatible with various reverse osmosis (RO) CA and TFC membranes, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes manufactured by major membrane suppliers worldwide.

Effective over a feed water pH range of 5.0–10.0.

Product Description

PO-100 is a high-performance, multi-component antiscalant specially formulated for reverse osmosis (RO) systems. It provides excellent scale inhibition and dispersion over a wide range of water qualities and operating conditions.

PO-100 is particularly effective in preventing scale formation caused by carbonate, sulfate, calcium chloride, magnesium oxide, and iron oxide deposits. It provides excellent scale control and remains compatible with residual coagulants and aluminum- or iron-rich compounds, without causing coagulation or the formation of insoluble precipitates.

PO-100 is suitable for RO, nanofiltration (NF), and ultrafiltration (UF) systems, particularly systems without ion-exchange pretreatment. It helps prevent membrane scaling, maintain stable permeate production, and improve permeate quality.

Application Scenarios

Dosage Point:

For maximum effectiveness, PO-100 Antiscalant should preferably be injected upstream of the static mixer or cartridge filter. When preparing the diluted solution, mix thoroughly for 5–10 minutes. Clean the chemical dosing tank regularly to prevent bacterial growth.

Dosage:

The required dosage should be determined according to the specific operating conditions of each system. The appropriate dosage should be calculated based on factors such as feed water quality, temperature, system recovery rate, and the type of reverse osmosis membrane. The recommended dosage is 2–6 ppm.

For specific dosing point and dosage recommendations, please consult Laisen technical engineers, who can determine the optimal dosing conditions according to your specific system parameters. For certain systems, a specific dosing point and appropriate chemical injection equipment may be required.

Dilution:

PO-100 Antiscalant is supplied as a standard solution and can be dosed directly or diluted before use. For dilution, use RO permeate or demineralized water. A dilution ratio of 10:1 is recommended, and the dilution ratio should not exceed 20:1.

Packaging, Storage and Handling

Packaging:

Packed in plastic drums, available in 25 kg/drum, 200 kg/drum, or according to customer requirements.

Storage:

Store in a cool and dry place. The recommended shelf life is 12 months under proper storage conditions.
