Product Description
Polyether defoamers are a type of blend of various polyether polyols, produced through a specialized process using different initiators and epoxides such as ethylene oxide (EO), propylene oxide (PO), and butylene oxide (BO), under the action of catalysts. Due to their molecular structure containing both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, they can disrupt the electrical double layer in foam films, thereby providing effective defoaming performance.
According to the characteristics and requirements of different industries, various initiators and different sequences of epoxide addition are selected. When necessary, corresponding graft modification can be carried out based on specific application requirements, thereby achieving the required defoaming and foam-control performance for different industries.
These products feature low volatility, excellent chemical stability, resistance to acids and alkalis, and long-lasting foam suppression. They have a wide range of applications across various industries.

Application Scenarios
Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) in Power Plants: Used to eliminate foam generated during flue gas scrubbing and slurry agitation in desulfurization processes.
Biological Fermentation: Used in fermentation processes where microbial metabolism generates large amounts of gas, helping prevent foam from affecting mass transfer, causing overflow, or compromising product quality.
Multiple-Effect Evaporation: Suitable for foam control during concentration processes in which boiling of the process materials generates foam.
Other Industrial Applications: Also used in processes such as alumina production to control foam in highly contaminated and strongly acidic or alkaline foaming systems.
