Product Description
Silicone defoamers are formulated with dimethyl silicone oil, fumed silica, and other active ingredients, together with various emulsifiers. With dispersants, chelating agents, and stabilizers providing the necessary formulation support, these defoamers are manufactured into emulsion-type products through a specialized process. Depending on their composition, they can be classified into neat (non-emulsion), oil-in-water (O/W), and water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion types.
The active ingredients are characterized by low electronegativity, strong hydrophobicity, and a low tendency to form hydrogen bonds. As a result, they exhibit very low surface tension and achieve defoaming through mechanisms such as reducing the surface tension of foam films, disrupting the electrical double layer, and forming bridging structures.
These products feature low volatility, excellent chemical stability, and rapid defoaming performance. They have a wide range of applications and provide strong defoaming performance in both oil-based and water-based dispersion systems.
